What’s Your Healing Language?
What’s Your Healing Language?

We all talk a lot about healing these days — emotional healing, physical healing, spiritual healing. But no one really teaches us how to approach it. Most of us are just trying to figure it out as we go. And sometimes, that’s why we fall off track.
We try the meditation app, we buy the supplements, we journal once or twice — and then we stop. Not because we’re lazy. Not because we don’t want it. But because the method didn’t match our language.
Just like we all have a love language — how we give and receive love — I’ve realized we all have a healing language too.
And learning mine? It changed everything.
My healing language isn’t just about sitting still and “letting go.” That’s what we think healing is supposed to look like. But truthfully, when I’m in a spiral, I don’t need to be told to sit still — I need to move. I need to get into my body. I need to touch the earth, oil my skin, take deep breaths, and do something physical.
Understanding this helped me stop judging the way I heal. It gave me permission to make space for the things that actually support me — not what looks good on paper or sounds spiritual online.
I’ve been working in this field for a long time. And something I’ve learned over and over is that no two clients are the same.
Even with the same tools — the same oils, the same techniques, the same sacred space — people respond differently. What speaks deeply to one person might not land at all for someone else.
I’ve had days where a client needed silence and grounding. Then the very next session, someone else needed tears, conversation, and lightness. It’s always shifting.
That’s why it’s so important to get to know yourself — to understand your healing language. Because that’s where true progress begins. Not from copying what someone else is doing… but from listening to what actually works for you.
If you're forcing yourself to journal every day, but you’re someone who heals through action or touch — you’ll feel stuck.
If you're sitting in silence trying to meditate, but your healing starts through expression and talking it out — you’ll feel like you're failing.
You're not. You're just not speaking your language.
Healing isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection — to yourself, your body, your nervous system, and your truth.
Maybe you’re someone who needs to move — stretch, walk, breathe, release through the body.
Maybe you need clarity and structure to understand what's happening internally.
Maybe your heart needs connection — to cry, speak, be witnessed.
Maybe you feel most whole when you're in stillness, ritual, or spiritual reflection.
Maybe you heal by doing — taking action, creating motion, clearing space.
There’s no right or wrong way.
There’s only your way.
Make Space for It
Once I realized what my healing language was, I stopped wasting energy doing the things that weren’t helping.
I started making space for what did.
✨ So if you’ve been trying to heal and nothing seems to stick — maybe it’s not that you’re doing it wrong.
Maybe you just haven’t been speaking your healing language yet.Find it. Learn it. Honor it.
