What’s in a name?

People always ask me where did I get the name  ‘Skylit’ from?

In Hinduism when a baby is born, the date and exact time of their birth is plugged into an astrological reading (based on the nakshatra or lunar mansion) to determine a specific vibrational name with specific sounds that will guide this life’s path. It was determined by the Pandit (a Hindu priest), that my chosen name was to be Chandavati.

Chandavati (Chandra 'moon' + vati 'light') literallymeans ‘lit by the moon’. Chandavati also means "of a princess" in Sanskrit. 

In keeping with this, a play on the the key words Sky,  Light and Night, the screen name Skylitnite was born, later shortened to Skylit. 

As the moon lights up the sky at night, it is my mission to provide a glimmer of light in what seems like a darkening world. 🙏🏽

The who, what, where, when, how and most importantly why ? In physics, energy is the quantitative property that must be transferred to an object in order to perform work on, or to heat, the object. 🌸  Spring is coming!   It's time to lighten your load! As we finally emerge from Winter with Kapha in excess, we require assistance in eliminating all the toxic sludge (AMA) of Winter that is congesting our bodily systems.   Ayurveda is a science of qualities and relates to how we interact with the world.  The characteristics of Winter are wet, cold, dense, slow and hibernation.  We interact with this environment and absorb these qualities feeling sluggish, congested with a slower metabolism we gain weight, have a lack of motivation, a heaviness and dullness in the mind and body, and may experience excessive sleep.  We need to clear this heaviness and encourage the rejuvenation of Spring!
